Most paints though adhere very well so you could probably even skip this step. After you roughen up your crib, you’ll want to wash off all the residue (I used tack cloths. You can buy them at Walmart but it’s not necessary at all) and then I sprayed mine with the Rostoleum White spray paint with primer.
